Thanks, James for finding and sharing this wonderful book!

John Spreull is referenced in the web site The Glasgow Story.

The Spreull's were an ancient Celtic family and members of the McFarlane Clan.  The McFarlane Clan had a turbulent history much of it stemming from association with the Earls of Lennox.  There are several good sites of the McFarlane Clan History.  Researching these sites will give a good foundation for understanding the Spreull family's position throughout history.
