Ancient Home of the Spreull's

Rambles Around Glasgow was written in 1854 by Hugh McDonald.  The book describes the history, topography and lore of the areas that our family Spreull inhabited.  Read what he has to say about Cowdon - the ancient family home of the Spreull's. 

Several researchers have made the trek to see first hand the ruins of Cowden.  I feature two of these explorations  here on the website:
